Kristine Kelly is the Language and Literacy Coordinator for the Minnesota Adult Education system. During three decades of teaching, she has worked extensively in the areas of language arts, high school equivalency, diploma, and evidence-based reading and writing instruction in adult education programs and in higher education. She is the ELA content expert for the Minnesota Standard Adult High School Diploma. As an educational consultant and subject matter expert, she frequently offers workshops and literacy coaching for other state systems in adult literacy topics and standards-based instruction and has partnered with numerous software and publishing companies to align ELA/ESL instructional material and assessments to the College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS).

Kristine holds an MAEd from Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµAPK with concentrations in reading and alternative education, as well as a B.S. in English and a B.A. in Russian Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµAPK with a dissertation focus on studying the landscape of writing instruction in the MN Adult Education system to inform future professional development efforts to increase the quantity and quality of writing instruction.
