Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK will celebrate the inauguration of its 22nd president, Mayme K. Hostetter, on Nov. 6, at 11:30 a.m. in Hutton Arena.
Since joining Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK in July 2025, Hostetter has made it a priority to connect with students, faculty, and staff. You may have spotted her grabbing lunch in the cafeteria, chatting, walking around campus, or attending campus events. She has demonstrated a personable leadership style, one that is approachable, inclusive and engaging. Her listening tour sessions reflect her commitment to staying connected with the campus community and understanding the perspective of students, faculty and staff.
The ceremony
The ceremony installment will feature remarks from campus and community leaders, followed by the presentation of symbols of office and the investiture by the trustee chair. President Hostetter will then deliver her inaugural address, after which the ceremony will conclude with a benediction and recessional music. During the presentation of symbols, traditional emblems representing Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK and the president's office are formally presented, making the official start of her tenure.
An inaugural reception will follow at 3:30-5:00 p.m. at Anderson Center. All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend. No RSVP is required.

Accessible entrances are available through the Hutton Arena lobby facing Hewitt Avenue and through the Lloyd W.D. Walker Fieldhouse lobby.
