2026 Social Justice Symposium to honor Jesse Jackson

The 2026 Social Justice Symposium April 7-9 will honor the legacy of the late civil rights leader Jesse Jackson. 

The symposium will kick off April 7 with a keynote address by scholar and historian , who will examine Jackson’s impact on American politics, leadership and the struggle for social and economic justice. The keynote will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Anderson Center, Rooms 111 and 112.

Throughout the week, additional programs, including a movie night, will celebrate Jackson’s life and legacy. The Hedgeman Center is hosting the event.
