President Hostetter Makes Her Pitch
President Hostetter made her debut at CHS Field — home of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµAPK Baseball — for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµAPK Night at the St. Paul Saints vs. Worcester Red Sox on July 24, 2025. After throwing out a ceremonial first pitch, she stopped in the broadcast booth to share her thoughts about what makes Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµAPK special and how the opportunity to lead us brought her home to Minnesota.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµAPK Awarded Grant to Support PAC Program
The Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE) has awarded Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµAPK an Intervention for College Attendance Program (ICAP) grant to support the Piper Academic Community (PAC) program. ICAP grants provide funding to programs designed to encourage college attendance of historically underserved students, helping bridge the gap between K-12 education and students' first year of postsecondary education.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµAPK Offers Nation's First-of-Type
Beginning in fall 2025, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµAPK is launching the nation's first graduate certificate in nature-based education for classroom teachers and other school staff. Building on the success of the Teacher Field School, the ten-credit certificate program includes nature immersion, individualized and team-based approaches to curriculum refinement and student support, and a final synthesis project.

Run to Support STEM Undergrads and Cancer Research
On Sunday, August 17, get your workout in while supporting Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµAPK STEM undergraduates. The third-annual Monarch Fund 5k Run/Walk for Cancer Recovery will donate 100% of registration fees to support one or more students conducting collaborative research in a STEM field, with preference given to those studying cancer treatment and recovery.

Kris Norman Publishes on Grief
Kris Norman, professor and director of public administration programs at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµAPK, published an article in MinnPost on grief. The article, entitled "Bearing Witness to our Collective Grief," was written in the wake of the June 14 shootings.
